It is a book you can refer to for a lifetime and continually gain new insights from. Ranquet is a great animal communicator and now is showing that she is a great writer! Her many stories in the book are from her work in the field. They are engaging and humorous, yet deeply thought provoking. This book gives you a reason to consider the possibilities of animal communication as a way to enhance your relationships with all living things. You will find yourself looking at your own pets differently and expand your relationship with them through Ranquet’s insights and guidance. It’s Ranquet’s kind of “thinking outside the box” that simply makes life on the planet more intriguing. The author Joan Ranquet starts her book with a good foundation about her love for animals as a child and about when she began to understand how to communicate first with people and then with animals. She tells us that she had to learn how to communicate with animals – it is not something that she just knew. The author divides the book into two sections – Revelations of an Animal Communicator and You as the Animal Communicator.
There are certain kinds of books that just make you want to crawl under a blanket, sip tea and become friends with the author. By the time you finish the book, you’ve got a new relationship. Even if the author never knows who you are, you know you’re friends. She’d like you and you’d like her. Finishing the book is a little sad because that connection is gone. Joan Ranquet is that kind of author. I picked up her book Communication with All Life: Revelations of an Animal Communicator because I was interested in reading about animals and the work she does with them. I got so much more than that. Ranquet’s words offer more than just the observations of an animal communicator. Communication with All Life is a funny, authentic, spiritual, centered, and informative book about animals, awareness, health, and the deep and important role you play in your companion’s life. In addition to the many stories and examples from her clients and their pets, the author gives sweet examples of her own learning process with her animals to convey this as well. This book doesn’t try to prove whether or not someone can communicate with animals, though there is one section describing telepathy. Communication with All Life recognizes that there’s a connection, a oneness of all things. And that any part of that oneness can tap into any other part of that oneness. In fact, Ranquet occasionally references other authors like Abraham-Hicks, and applies some of those teachings ...

Communication with All Life Revelations of an Animal Communicator—great book to read! I really enjoyed this book from so many aspects. The author’s story of how she became an animal communicator was very touching and since I have lost pets that were also “soul mate” animals, I could totally relate. I felt like I got so much out of the chapters with the stories about the clients she’s had and the issues they had to deal with, as I recognized myself or my pets as having very similar issues. {…} I learned something very important in Chapter Nine about the ethics of this profession and the importance of being “neutral,” and “anchoring the good feelings.” That helped me so much with a horse I have who had bad experiences with the farrier (person who trim horses feet and puts their shoes on) and because of this I would hope and fear that he may act up every time the farrier comes, and of course he did, and it was dangerous for the farrier, the horse, and me. I had even been accidentally given a light concussion from him acting out. Now I try to anchor all the good feelings of good times I have had with him and the one or two times that he was just stellar for the farrier and to hold only those thoughts while he his shoes are being put on. I also noticed that when my farrier is clear minded and just assumes my horse will be good ...

I learned something very important in Chapter Nine about the ethics of this profession and the importance of being “neutral,” and “anchoring the good feelings.” That helped me so much with a horse I have who had bad experiences with the farrier (person who trim horses feet and puts their shoes on) and because of this I would hope and fear that he may act up every time the farrier comes, and of course he did, and it was dangerous for the farrier, the horse, and me. I had even been accidentally given a light concussion from him acting out. Now I try to anchor all the good feelings of good times I have had with him and the one or two times that he was just stellar for the farrier and to hold only those thoughts while he his shoes are being put on. I also noticed that when my farrier is clear minded and just assumes my horse will be good the energy is different and the horse is in fact good. So, in this case for safety reasons it has been great for all of us!

And lastly I loved the part on overall wellness because I have made it a passion to study animal nutrition over the past four-and-a-half years since I lost my beloved dog to renal failure. I also have become interested in some of the energy work that can be done on animals that the Author mentions in the last chapter.

Overall this is an excellent read and a very helpful and informative “hand book”; it is well worth the money and then some. I have recommended it to friends and family and I give it as gifts to all the animal lovers I know. Can’t wait for her next book!

Joan Ranquet’s “Communication with all Life, Revelations of an Animal Communicator” is not only truly fascinating reading, but is full of inspirational stories and lots of tools that any animal lover can use to communicate with animals. As the author notes, we are all animal communicators, whether we know it or not… even whether we believe in it or not! There are many ways we communicate with our animal companions. We use words, of course, but what we don’t realize is that we are constantly communicating using pictures and feelings, as well. For example, when we tell – in words – our animals not to do something, they don’t understand the “not” part, because the picture we invariably have in our minds is of the animal actually doing what we wish they wouldn’t.

In our minds is, “Go ahead, pee on the couch.” Our expectation is often, “Well, they going to do it again anyway!”

Another example of how we unknowingly send messages is by what we are feeling: When packing for a trip, we are apprehensive about leaving our animals behind, worrying that they will miss us and feel sad and that we will miss them terribly! This often leads to separation anxiety and depression. We can try being happy about the trip and about the fact that we will be back soon and that they will have a great time while we are gone!

This book contains many exercises we can use to deepen our intuition, as well, in order to get pictures, words and feelings from our companions. I have been working with the techniques and have been able to get images from my dogs and horse. My dogs were out late enjoying their nightly run. I began to worry – it had been an hour – and tuned in to the pack leader. I got an image of a large white curve. When the dogs returned five minutes later, I realized that the image was of the roof of the barn next door. That’s what the pack leader saw from the distance and that’s the direction they came back from!

This book contains many stories of how Joan’s advanced communication skills saved many a relationship – between animal and steward, between animals in the same household and even between the human members of a family!

This is a truly fascinating read and one that will change forever the way you behave, communicate and think about the animals around you.
