Third Chakra Species-Specific/Wild and Domestic

 Third Chakra Species-Specific/Wild and Domestic

The third chakra interacts daily like a homing device. Our gut tells us, “This is bad, this is bad, step away. No touching. Move away.” Or, “Awwwww, this is nice. We can stay here a minute.

This feels good. This is so goooooood.” This is our gut instinct literally and figuratively. The third chakra is how we absorb and metabolize the world, and therefore how we respond or react to the data. And for animals, there is very little f ilter involved. Meaning, as humans, we may hold back and not say what we mean. But animals are truth and presence. The gut will inform their reaction to everything whether it is “Uh oh,” or “Awwwwww.”

That said, they do know how to mask to survive. In a herd, a pack, or a pride, the elder that is weak will be pushed out eventually or they will opt to move themselves out to not burden the group. But in our homes, they can’t do that in quite the same way. Our domestic friends can mask and sometimes the other animals recognize that they are weaker and push them out. We humans do not always have the same kind of awareness to recognize when our animals are masking their getting ill or weaker.

The third chakra awareness is both a physical and emotional reality when it comes to fight or flight. It’s like an emotional alarm goes off in the gut and a physiological volcano fires off from the adrenals. The lungs expand to run faster, the brain is focused, and they are off to safety.

Hopefully.

Animals have a twenty-four-hour weather channel in their guts. Out in the wild, they can feel barometric pressure change hours before the weather changes and find higher ground. Most of us have walled off our guts to such an extent that we aren’t even aware we have digestive issues, let alone a weather detector!!

A dog that is affected by thunder and lightning can sometimes feel them approaching 8 to 12 hours before they first strike. We don’t notice but then we see our animal is seeking sanctuary in the porcelain bathtub or shoe closet. They are taking control of their future based on their past because their stomach is letting them know.

Our animals can often be a great dating service. Meaning, when you bring someone new home, your animals will often react either favorably or be wary. This is their gut at work. You can thank them later.
