Jamie Baker

Jamie Baker’s path to animal communication and energy work hasn’t been a straight or linear process. But there has been one constant in her life, and that is a deep love for animals since childhood. Cats in particular hold a special place in her heart. She was the kid who asked for cats for every birthday and made do with imaginary pets until she finally got her first cat at age 8.

While on a quest of self discovery and trying to figure out what she wanted to be when she grew up, Jamie was first introduced to the idea of animal communication in 2019. In 2021, she took the plunge and joined the Animal Mastery Program with CWALU and Joan Ranquet learning animal communication, EFT/Tapping and scalar wave. One year later she joined the Teacher Trainer program. It was through the classes on Animal Communication that she realized that she has always been communicating with animals but just didn’t recognize it for what it was. She thought that she was getting these “knowings” purely from observation and didn’t recognize that other senses and intuition were at play.

Jamie has taken many courses over the years in various areas including interior design, pottery, painting, Theta healing, reiki, and is currently learning acupressure. She has also been exploring her interests in travel, gardening, crystals, essential oils and other healing modalities. There are so many things to learn and explore!

Jamie has spent the last 20 years working as an engineer, manager and leader in the utility industry. She has participated in many different areas of this industry ranging from engineering and design, operations and maintenance, emergency management, occupational health and safety, regulatory code development, education, conference planning and is currently working in asset management. Jamie has a BSc in Chemical Engineering, a BA in French Literature, and certificates in Business Analysis, Emergency Management and Non-Profit Management.

She has been a long-time volunteer with the MEOW Foundation, a no-kill cat shelter in Calgary, Alberta. She has filled roles such as cleaning, adoptions assistant, socializer (working with shy and feral cats to help them to learn to trust humans) and TNR trapping. She has also worked with MEOW as part of the OHS committee creating MEOW’s OHS program and manual, Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Emergency Management Plan (EMP).

Jamie currently resides in Calgary, Alberta, sharing her home with her partner Brad and 3 sets of sister cats (yes that is 6 cats) and a couple of fish. She believes that no house is a home unless there is a pet in it, and that Animal Communication and Energy Healing can help to deepen the bond and love between a human and their animal. By healing and communicating with our animals, we can also heal ourselves.
