World-renowned Animal Communicator and Energy Healer, Joan Ranquet, Presents:

Return to the Wild: An Animal Communication Safari

November 26th – December 7th, 2022

Calling all travel and animal lovers! Join Animal Communicator Joan Ranquet and get wordless in Kenya.  Experience for yourself what it’s like to feel the world through the senses of elephants, rhinos, and the wild creatures of East Africa’s arid plains.

Kenya has drawn explorers and adventurers for centuries to her borders. She is known for her remarkable diversity of landscapes, animals, and cultures. From the bustling hub of Nairobi to the salty dust of Amboseli and the red dirt of Tsavo East National Parks to the unique sanctuaries in Ol Pejeta, this trip will bring you in close contact with all things wild.

A Message from Joan:

Seeing and experiencing the wild forever changes you. Like locking eyes with a hyena or seeing a cheetah running faster than the wind. Like watching a rhino peacefully grazing with her baby or witnessing juvenile elephants out stirring up trouble. Or watching lion cubs sleeping in a pile like your very own house cats back home. These images are not easily forgotten.

When we experience these things, we create our own stories. When we connect to the stories of the wild, we enliven it and it continues to have possibility. And with that connection comes the protection that these animals so deserve.

I am as committed as I’ve ever been to helping people experience the wild in a quiet, meditative manner. Being, communing and connecting with wildlife and nature is part of my DNA and is built into my daily schedule. One day the animals of East Africa may not walk the planet. And I don’t want to be part of the planet without these beauties! I will do everything I can to get people to not only see and experience them personally, but protect them.

Please join me!!

We will all gather together in Nairobi to embark on a trip of a lifetime exploring some of Africa’s most iconic places and wildlife. This is an opportunity to travel with like-minded animal lovers, learn directly from nature and wildlife, spend time with Joan and learn how animal communication is different in the wild than at home. All while experiencing completely new cultures!

Spend 12 days and 11 nights in the Kenyan wilderness and learn how to slow down, tune in, and connect in a way that will forever change how you sense the world. With the support of professional trackers and guides, we will search for lions, elephants, rhinos, zebras, and so much more as we explore the African landscape.

The accommodation will be comfortable and simple chic and the food, delicious! Whether you’re vegan, gluten free, or have food allergies, your needs will be taken care of. You will definitely be satisfied and satiated.

Wickliffe Odera is a fully trained and qualified FGASA field and trails guide by Ecotraining, with extensive experience in hosting international safari guests.

Born and raised in western Kenya around Lake Victoria, he developed a love for nature at a very tender age. As a child he spent time digging into termite mounds to try and understand the sophisticated engineering of them and loved listening to the voices of singing birds in the mornings.

He has worked with high end clients, hosting and assisting expedition leaders with day to day operations to ensure guests get the best and most memorable experiences. FAQ’s

Will we be traveling as a group to Kenya?

The short answer is no. But we will connect you as a group beforehand and if that’s something you’d like to organize, you are welcome to. Our travel concierge can help coordinate with you on this.

What are your COVID-19 Protocols?

Joan and Wickliffe take your health and safety very seriously. As COVID is an ongoing and changing health issue, this is subject to change based on Kenya’s entry requirements. As of this publication you are not required to be vaccinated to enter the country, but must have a negative PCR test within 96 hours of departure.

You will be required to wear your mask in public places, however you won’t need to wear your mask on the safari vehicle, simply have your mask with you. When meals are being served you must wear your mask and then may take it off to eat once the staff have finished serving.

PCR testing will be available as needed at our last safari lodge, Ol Pejeta, for $100. Please check your home country’s re-entry requirement or the destination you will head to after Kenya.

What is the time difference?

During the trip the time difference between Los Angeles and Nairobi is 11 hours. Please click HERE to check out the time difference for your home place.

What vaccinations do I need?

The only required vaccination is Yellow Fever IF you are coming from a country that has Yellow Fever into Kenya. There are a number of recommended vaccines as well. Have a look HERE to learn more and make an informed decision.

Is the water safe?

To be safe, it is recommended to only drink filtered water. Reusable water bottles will be provided with plenty of clean, filtered water to keep you hydrated.

What kind of clothes should I wear?

Neutral and nature colored clothing like browns, tans and greens are best. These colors blend better into the natural environment and help to keep wildlife calm. Please avoid blues and blacks as they attract tsetse flies – their bites are gnarly!

We also recommend bringing layers. Mornings and evenings can be cooler, while the days are often very hot and sunny. Light, long sleeved shirts can also help with sun protection.

And most definitely bring a hat!

Is travel insurance required? Where can I purchase it?

Yes, travel insurance is definitely required. But where you purchase is a personal choice. Check with your credit card company as they may offer insurance on any purchase you make with your card. Allianz and World Nomads Insurance are two good options.

“There’s nothing I love more than watching someone’s face when they see elephants in the wild for the first time. When they look into the eyes of this ancient creature I know what they’re thinking…why didn’t I get here sooner?”
